Once again it came down to Bucky's last run with PLG holding on to first overall in the standings. The crowd was hyped to see another miracle run by Bucky, but Bucky couldn't hold on and PLG breathed a sigh of relief and stepped onto the podium to take X Games Gold.

Shaun White is an incredible skater. Probably the highlight of the contest was watching Shaun do every one of his tricks in between 5 and 10 feet, Coming from the slopes, Shaun is used to going big and he didn't disappoint. He pulled every flip trick in the book and even threw in Bucky's signature heelflip frontside gay twist. Shaun made the crowd go crazy and walked away with the silver.

Sandro Dias took his first medal at the X Games this year. He had a perfect first run that included a frontside rock slide at mach speed, huge airs, a couple 540s and a 900, and was in first overall. On his last run, he lost it on a 360 varial, but held in the standings to take the bronze.

Bob Burnquist ended just out of medal contention with a couple of falls, but did pull off a switch one-foot ollie at the end of his final run that took the roof off the Staples Center. The rest of the skaters rode well, but couldn't hold onto any perfect runs to get into the top spots. Congratulations to all the riders on another entertaining X Games. See you next year.
